Default Looking at a Freelander 2. Is it worth it?

am looking to return to the LR family. I previously had a Disco and loved it.

I don't have a family, and am looking at something that will get me around town and out to the snowfields and to my folks place in the country. Thinking that a Freelander would be a good idea as the capability and comfort of the Disco is far better than similar 4x4's. I also found it better to drive around town than the likes of a Land Cruiser. Does this stay true for a Freelander compared to other small 4x4's such as the RAV4?

Also open to other options such as the Disco Sport.

All opinions and advice welcomed.

I wouldn't recommend the freelander to anyone, it was very problematic.

When working with GEMS vehicles. Never try to locate a misfire by pulling plug leads off - pull the injector connector instead. Otherwise you can blow up the ECU.

Secondly never swap ECUs between vehicles to test them, because both vehicles and ECUs may stop working, and you'll have to have them all reset by a franchised LR dealer (ouch!).
