Greetings - and re tyre pressures for towing.
 

Hi we've just acquired a 7 seat Disco td5 on an 02 plate and we are about to take our caravan out for a weekend trip.

Please advise me about tyre pressures. The manual says little about adjusting tyre pressure except when carrying a full load.We are just two adults plus not a lot of luggage.

Is there any need to increase the rear tyre pressure just to hook on a caravan with a maximum laden weight of around 1800 kilos and a nose weight of some 90 to 100 kilos?:confused:

any time you add rear weight I would always increase the rear tire pressure from the normal to around 40PSI, not sure what that comes out to in Over the pond measurements... but with normal tires here in the USA I run around 34-36PSI, when loaded I run around 40PSI.
