Hi sorry if this question has been posted elsewhere. I have a 1994 land rover discovery with the single button key fob which has decided to give up on me I've changed the battery but still no luck i have contacted land rover themselves about getting a new key fob but have been told they no longer make them i have also tried remotekey.co.uk but they also seem to be out of stock all the time so my question is does anyone know where i could get a key fob or is the ecu from a later model ( one with a 2 button fob ) compatible with my car.
thank you in advance

Try ebay for the single button remotes, sadly you can't use the newer ECU in your Rover without major updates and changes from the Rovercom computer (i.e. land rover specific computer)

Hi thank you for the quick response I've tried eBay but with no luck do you know whether the universal 433 MHz key fob on eBay would work.

thanks in advance

Old ones are 418mhz and newer ones are 433... http://www.famousfour.co.uk/new_parts/part_page.php?partID=3958

Also try to clean with rubbing alcohol and resolder and broken joints... cheap fix otherwise your looking at a little money per the link above.
